ah the joys of owning a van, last year I was restricted in where I could get to. Think I need to invest in a heated car cover for the car this year

People talk about winter tyres and all but i aint convinced..... not when you have two huge hills near you like i have , and then theres the morons on the road.............

i'd rather walk.... Shocked i only work 2 miles away after all - or get one of the 4x4 peeps from work to come get me lol

I had a van for my job last year was great fun, and like a lot of folk, my BM stayed put! haha
Swopped jobs now though so only have the BM and a push bike! Either cycling or walking to work I think (dont know what cycling's like the in snow/ice?)

My biggest issue with the snow and ice though isn't the weather or driving conditions, it's the 1 thing everyone want that I don't......GRIT!!!!!

The grit destoryed our roads last year, leaving pot holes and rough conditions everywhere, which the goverment/councils have spent no money on repairing properly, which means those holes will be twice the size after this winter! It winds me up something stupid!!!

The local paper says the Lancashire county council has put £4.4million aside to grit the roads, and probs about £50 to patch them up after! (rant over guys!) haha

Cycling in the snow is fun, but not in ice!

If you have a mountain bike, get a set of maxxis minion or maxxis high rollers on there. Very good tyres!
