Re: Advice - van
what van is it?
very easy usually. They are basically a ball joint that attaches the hub to the steering rack all. These screw off after some persuasion. They aren't expensive. They will just be allowing too much play in the steering which may be causing it to feel slightly weird to drive

Re: Advice - van
its the same van as mine except mine has a nissan badge on it. It is a piece of piss to fix, it may be the steering rack end and not the track rod end. Best off jacking it up then hold the wheel at 3 o'clock and 9o'clock positions and rock it back and forth, while looking for where the play is. If it is the rack end they are just over a tenner from Andrew page but you'd need a 32mm i think to crack the nut off. If it is the track rod end then I am not sure on price but they are easier to do as they also need to come off if you are replacing the rack end. You will also need to get the tracking reset afterwards.

I dont really know where to recommend but I know of a bloke who has just started for himself recently near Euxton who could sort it out. He is a friend of my next door neighbour and was going to sort an oil leak out for me just I havent had chance to get it to him. pm me if you want his name and number.

Re: Advice - van
Really quick Job Remy but if your not common with jobs i would advise you to get it done by some one not the perfect first job to do really.
Personally if the steering feels ok for now I would just watch how it goes and keep driving it, its only a van, and you will know if its going to go completely before it does, as it will bang and clatter etc. Its not as if your going to be throwing it round a track

good advice there, but personally I change anything like that straight away on my van but I do drive it like i'm on a track and have it loaded up to death lol

The radio doesnt appear to be working (now this an emergency lol ) Its a radio / cd.
I'm going to look online and see if i can find a manual

Re: Advice - van
As for the balljoint, check out NW-Parts at the bottom of the home page. Find out the part number for your van and send it us and me or Loz will get you a price for it to you as it will be ALOT cheaper than the price states on the site. Then at least you only have to bother with labour costs.
