Time to be bent over and rogered with no lube

The time has come for me to be royally bent over and shafted by those nice people known as insurance companies. I have been told that my insurer is pulling out of PR postcodes and therefore I cannot renew my policies. So now I have to wait and see what the best deal is. I am waiting for my broker to get back to me early next week regarding a multicar quote but up to now the best quotes having seperate policies would have me paying around £834 for my commercial policy for my van and £880 ish for my car........not impressed

I've always found my postcode to be pretty good! It's actually cheaper than when i was living in garstang!

My mate has always paid well over 2k since he's been 17. He's 26 now, granted he does drive a porsche now though.

I've just had a renewal through for the M3, last year it was £236 on a classic car policy, guaranteed value, 27 yr old gf and all the usual benefits etc......

This year it came back at £588 !!

I did loads of searching on the net and ringing companies up and I found a company called RH Specialist Division - £202 whoop whoop

Ive used RH specialist devision for someone with some mint motors and they were excellent.

If you have a club card tesco give you an extra 15% off their insurance, they also do a value insurance.

I started my policy last year in Manchester (M40 postcode) with Endsleigh and was paying just under £1400 a year. Moved to Leeds (LS12 postcode) and they never lowered the payment to suit the better area. Even though the car was parked on a drive whereas in Manchester is was parked on the road. I got my renewal a couple of weeks ago and got quoted the same as last year.

Took the risk of buying the BMW which they want over £1700 a year. So cancelled with them and now will be insured with Octagon and will be paying £600 a year

well i've done a bit of shopping around on the tintranet tonight and got both quotes down to £635 for car and 795 for the van, the broker will be getting told what I think of them if their multi vehicle policy comes back more than that. Will find out in next few working days

I've never found multi car policies to be competitive, I can insure 4 cars - 3 on classic, for less than 1k.

Well my broker got back to me and I can insure my car and van on one policy with rural insurance for £1257. This includes legal protection plus protected no claims etc. I will try out some.multi vehicle policies tonight but so far this is favourite

Well for my car my premium is around £450 and then breakdown cover on top, thats with mods declared, fully comp, 27yr old, 4 years ncb in PR5, and a fairly rough area of PR5!! lol

Yeah but I got a fault claim 4 years ago, non fault last year and 3 points. I think that's what's making it a bit more.

Bit the bullet and paid my van and car insurance in one lump sum today....at least I'll be saving over £100 on interest over the year, just need to earn back that money to pay the wholesalers end of april
