Ok so theres lots of you over Preston way so im after some advice.

The sootchucker and I are thinking of moving over that way and so im starting my research now!

Preston is the nearest place to still be fairly close to our friends and family over this way and which seems to have more going on

I've always quite liked Preston centre and it is getting a load of money spent on it over the next few years so should improve lots too.

This brings me to where to look at. Ideally we need reasonable access to M65 for easy work commute etc so thinking places like leyland, bamber bridge, farrington? Broughton? Anyone anything to say on those areas?

Also a biggie is, what are the best high schools in preston? As i will need to be thinking ahead to catchment areas for a good secondary school.

Any advice much appreciated.

Cheers

South Ribble is cheaper than North Ribble, but the people tend to in-breed Laughing

Not sure about high schools anymore as it was I while since I was there, but I went to Archbishop Temple and it didn't do me any harm.

Penwortham is a nice area (higher penwortham is nicer than lower penwortham). Grimsargh is also a nice area and close to J31A. So is Longsands Lane area.
