Cadwell park becuase it's so technical!

complex corners, descents, climbs, cambers - it's got it all!

They call it the mini-nurburgring Smile

Oulton park is also good though and is nice and close.

I've never bothered with trackday insurance, but taking a car on a trailer is a good plan, as if anything did happen, you can get it back.

I would advise two sets of wheels with different tyres too. Preferably some suitable for wet and some for dry.

You don't want new tyres on a trackday, as thick tread traps air between the tread and they overheat and cause really unpredictable handling! (I know this from a little off I had on gooseneck at Cadwell!!)

For anyone that wants to handle their car better, I would recommend the drift day at Oulton Park for starting off. It's good to get into the practice of controlling slides and reacting properly when you get into a slide.

Airfield days are also good for novices, but the surface is harder on your tyres than a normal track surface. Have a look at http://www.javelintrackdays.co.uk/ for some good deals.

ive only done oulton but that was a good track

the taster sessions run by MSV at oulton are a good idea you get 20 min on track for 25 quid at the end of day. This means you can get a feel for the track before you invest 100's in doing a full day
